After months of backyard putting in isolation, Melbourne disc golfers have been keen to get back on the course.  Restrictions were eased earlier this week allowing small groups to meet for a game of disc golf and this weekend was the first chance for many to get out and have a throw.

For some, the first post-COVID-19 lockdown round was one to remember.  An ace is rare but two of them on the same card is something to write home about…or at least boast about on your social media accounts and that is exactly what Justin Crow and Cameron Ford from Melbourne Disc Golf Club were able to do after their round at Ruffey Lake Park this morning.

Justin was first to score his ace on hole seven.  This is believed to be only the second ace ever scored on that hole.

Justin Crow, Hole 7, Ruffey Lake Park

Soon after, Cam followed up with an ace on hole thirteen

Cameron Ford, Ace on hole 13, Ruffey Lake Park

Being able to simply get out and enjoy a game of disc golf was more than enough for most, but this extra little reward will be long remembered and surely celebrated.

Congratulations Cam and Justin!
