Hey Disc Golfers,
Thanks for joining us during this year’s Disc Golf events. It was really good to see new faces out there. The sport is still just starting to grow even though it has been around for a while. Special thanks to the founders of the Melbourne Disc Golf Club as well as the guys from the Geelong Disc Golf Club for making Disc Golf what it is today in Victoria.
Thanks to everyone who came out last Sunday and made our last League Day and the Melbourne Cup an awesome day. The weather wasn’t great for the morning, but we were lucky in the afternoon. Congratulations to the winner of the Men’s Open Andrew Ferguson, the winner of the Men’s Advanced Mat Adams and the winner of the Women’s Open Cassie Sweeten. Jarrath Sweeten won the League Day round. It was fantastic to have some living legends playing with us and we hope to see them again. Thanks Gail and Sue.
Special thanks to the people who made the tournament happen and put a lot of time and effort into setting up the course and providing food and drinks. It wouldn’t have been possible without you!
I also want to thank Greg Bowers for his work on making the club what it is today. Have a great time in the States and we all hope that we will see you again.
This was the last League Day for this year and we will start again next year in February. I hope we can grow our club a bit more next year and hopefully have 3 more permanent baskets in the ground. Enjoy your holidays, we will see you in 2015.
