Melbourne Disc Golf’s home turf, Ruffey Lake Park, is an amazingly large area of public parkland in the heart of a dense Melbourne suburb.  It is a public park and the course is free to play.

In 2012 Manningham City Council installed a permanent 6 basket course, complete with tee signs. Early in 2016, the Council installed three new baskets, and in addition the Melbourne Disc Golf Club (MDGC) installed tees for these baskets along with alternate tees to make an 18-hole course.  In 2023 the course was upgraded with 9 concrete tee pads, and 18 permanent baskets.

Loan Discs

You can check out discs out at the Doncaster branch of the Whitehorse Manningham Regional Library Corporation just like a book. How cool is that! You can view frisbee availability via their online library catalogue.

Simply take along a piece of photo identification with a current address, and they will sign you up for a library account (regardless of which municipality you live in) and you can then loan your discs – any resident of Victoria may obtain library membership.
