After the inaugural Women’s Social Day at Stony Creek the week prior, the series continued at Bald Hill on March 12th. The conditions were fairly calm in the morning for the mixed rounds, with the wind having picked up ever so slightly for the women’s round. Sponsor banners were up and they looked spectacular! We even had a visit from one of the sponsors today ‘Outright Plumbing’ who took lots of wonderful photos. Perhaps we can entice you to play as well…

There were 8 players for a great women’s round with lots of hopefully helpful hints given to the newer players. Welcome to the 4 new players who played a social day at Bald Hill for the first time today. Rosie was missed this week and we hope to see you next round.

Seven of the WSD players

Emma W took out the raw score win for the day, Gail took out the Handicap award, and Jenny won the CTB (Closest to the Basket). Congratulations everyone! Thanks to The Victorian Government for providing funding for the prizes.

A big thank you to coaches Oscar Fehlberg and David Perry for their expert coaching at the start of the event today. We could see the benefit of the coaching as the rounds progressed. They both offered some very valuable tips to work on before the next round. Let’s use those practise baskets and see what we can do for next time!

Thanks to David Heath for keeping the club pro shop open all day throughout both the mixed rounds and the women’s round. Thanks to all those who helped set the banners up at the start of the day and pack them up at the end of the day. Thank you to Mike VDL who mentored with the Metrix – help gratefully received! And thank you Ladies for making it a great day!

Let’s keep the momentum going! Registration is currently open for our next two Women’s Social Days.
